Visie Bouw carried out the complete renovation of the car wash for Esso Gorinchem: three self-service wash bays and the tunnel car wash with a roll-over system. The walls, which previously had a tiled finish, were replaced with Excellent Panel.

Tiles have a well-known weakness in a car wash environment: the grout. Due to constant exposure to moisture and the use of detergents, grout lines quickly become dirty and discolored, and can eventually develop mold. In addition, tiles are susceptible to impact from brushes, hoses, and high-pressure washers, resulting in cracks and breakage. Excellent Panel does not have these problems: the panels can be installed almost seamlessly, are moisture-resistant and impact-resistant, and therefore remain hygienic and pristine even after years of intensive use. Furthermore, installing the panels is faster than tiling a room, which shortens the renovation timeline.

The choice was made to use Excellent Panel 500 x 35 mm in white, supplied in lengths of 1.7 and 4.3 meters.
